VietNamNet Bridge – Being discontented with unprofessional behavior of players, the boss of Ninh Binh football club, Mr. Hoang Manh Truong, is considering disbanding the team.

Ranking 8th in the V-League 2012, Coach Nguyen Van Sy and his players did not receive bonus from boss Truong at the end of the season. So far, Truong still owes his players three months of salary. He promised to pay by November 2 but according to some players, they did not receive anything.
Being frustrated, players sent a petition to Truong, in which they delivered a tough statement: "not doing exercise until they are paid". Immediately after sending the petition, players quitted drilling.
"This is a very tough time for not only Ninh Binh but a lot of other teams. It is true that Ninh Binh still owes players three months of salary. We called on the sharing of the players but they did not do so," the team’s CEO Pham Van Le said.
According to Le, the players’ behavior of laying down conditions with the team is very unprofessional. Being disappointed by this action, he permitted the players to temporarily disband. Le said Truong was very angry when the players threatened to go on strike.
"Mr. Truong seemed to be tired and he is considering whether to continue investing in football or not," Le said.
After receiving the petition, Truong asked his inferior to clarify the engine of this petition. "We are so tired, depressed because of the innocent behavior of the players. If only one or a few players wrote the petition and incited others to sign, we will impose severe sanctions on them. Perhaps they will be kicked out of the team. If the petition is the request of the whole team, we will consider disbanding the team," added Le.
According to Le, if the team is dissolved, the players whose employment contracts have expired can freely join other clubs. Others whose contracts are still valid will have to pay compensation to the team to be able to come to other clubs.
The players have been allowed to return home. The next few days, after Coach Nguyen Van Sy meet with Truong, the team's fate will be decided.
Hoang Manh Truong began investing in football in 2007, through the acquisition of Dong Tam Long An football team, which played at the First Division Tournament.
In 2009, Ninh Binh was the champion of the First Division Tournament and it got a ticket to play in the V-League.
Truong has bought a few dozen of players, hired nearly ten domestic and foreign coaches but the highest achievement of Ninh Binh FC so far is only the fourth place in V-League 2011. The achievement is not commensurate with investment, Truong has repeatedly said to be “disgusted” with football.
