Ministry wants to amend laws to save unprofitable fertilizer projects
After applying a safeguard measure to protect local fertilizer production, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has proposed to amend the tax law to help fertilizer plants incurring big losses.
Five unprofitable mega-projects funded by the state
Five projects all funded by the state - the Dinh Vu fiber plant, Dung Quat ethanol plant, the expanded Thai Nguyen steel mill, Phuong Nam Pulp and Ninh Binh Fertilizer – have incurred huge losses.
