The provincial People's Committee has issued a plan No 132/KH-UBND about its first ever hot air balloon which is expected to be a new, exiting and unique tourism product to attract more local and international visitors to their land.

At the same time the festival would help promote Ninh Bình as a destination with typical culture, friendly people, and great potential and advantages of tourism development.

The festival is scheduled in four days from September 20-23 at the Tràng An Cultural Park in Ninh Bình City's Tân Thành Commune and Cúc Phương Stadium in Nho Quan District.

The opening ceremony will be held on September 20 night while the service will be open to serve visitors in the following days.

Along with the performances of many colourful hot air balloons, light show, music, dance and art activities will be organised from 7.30pm to 20.30pm every night.

There is also place with about 120 booths to displaying local specialties and regional OCOP products during the festival at the Tràng An Cultural Park.

The People's Committee of Ninh Bình requires assigned and concerning agencies and units to closely coordinate and carefully prepare to organise the festival successfully, popularising the event widely among the community and and attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to the province.

The festival is hosted by the local Department of Tourism in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports; Hot Air Balloon Association; Ninh Bình Tourism Association; and carried out by Ballooning Media International Ballooning Company. — VNS
