Up to 243 of the 382 confirmed patients are imported cases who were quarantined upon arrival.
Meanwhile, 357 patients or 93.2 percent have recovered from the disease, and there are no related deaths.
Most of the 26 remainders are in stable condition, including seven negative for the virus once and four others at least twice.
There are 11,697 people having close contact with confirmed cases or coming from pandemic-hit areas in quarantine at present, including 141 in hospitals, 10,486 in other quarantine sites, and 1,070 at home or accommodation facilities.
COVID-19: Three more patients discharged from hospital
The National Hospital of Tropical Diseases on July 20 discharged three COVID-19 patients who had gone on to make a full recovery from the disease.
he three patients, all Vietnamese citizens, returned to Vietnam from Bangladesh on VJ5967 flight on July 3. Upon landing at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh province, they were placed at a concentrated quarantine facility in Thanh Hoa province.
They were transferred to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases after being diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on July 5.
The patients have tested negative for the virus and shown no signs of virus symptoms such as a fever, a cough or shortness of breath.
Following the discharge, they will be quarantined for another 14 days according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control to ensure they are completely virus free.
The hospital is now treating 18 other COVID-19 patients, of whom four have tested negative for the virus. They are all in stable health condition.
Vietnam has recorded a total of 383 coronavirus cases since the first infection was detected in late January. Of the figure, 360 people have fully recovered and have been released from hospital.
The country has gone through more than three months without new locally transmitted infections.
