VietNamNet Bridge – Jaap Van Norel of the Netherlands won the first ever Hoang Su Phi Mountain Bike Challenge 2017, which closed May 21 in the northeast province of Ha Giang.

Vietnamese Phan Dan came in second place, and Guim Valls Teruel of Spain finished third.
The event attracted the participation of 22 cyclists including 12 domestic and 11 foreigners from France, Australia and Spain.
Cyclists competed in three stages in three days through many tourism spots, such as Chieu Lau Thi Mountain, natural forest in Chien Thang Hamlet and magnificent terraced rice fields which have been recently recognised as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
After each stage, cyclists had a performance exchange and enjoyed real experiences in homestays.
Earlier, cyclists took part in building a 200m concrete road for locals in Suoi Thau Hamlet, Ban Luoc Commune.
