VietNamNet Bridge - A female passenger could not make boarding to the plane because of late arrival. Her relative called Jetstar Pacific to scold and threaten to "blow out the plane."
The Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration (CAAV) says the authorities are tracing the man who called Jetstar Pacific to curse and threaten to rocket this carrier’s plane.
On March 16, a 32 -year-old female passenger, a native of Thanh Hoa province could not board a flight of Jetstar Pacific from HCM City to Vinh City because she was over 40 minutes late.
The woman agreed to take another flight the next day and paid an additional VND450,000 ($22).
After that, a man called Jetstar Pacific’s operators, claimed himself as the above passenger’s family member. He constantly scolded the operators and threatened to "shoot missiles to blow up the plane."
Considering the man’s intimidation as a threat for aviation safety, Jetstar Pacific reported to the CAAV. A tape recording the call was transferred to the authorities for investigation.
As a rule, all information threatening aviation safety must be verified to and the violators must be punished severely according to law.
