VietNamNet Bridge - On September 11, the police agency of Binh Duong province  arrested Luong Van Trong, 21, from An Giang province, to investigate his acts of killing his 17-day-old daughter.

The murder happened at the motel in Hoa Loi commune, Ben Cat district, Binh Duong province.

According to initial information, Trong’s wife, named Ha, also 21 and from An Giang province, just gave birth to a baby girl about 2 weeks earlier. However, after drinking, Trong usually asked for sexual relations with her. Due to weak health, Ha refused Trong’s requests.

In the early morning of September 9, when Trong again asked for having sex with his wife, Ha kept refusing, so they quarreled. When Ha’s parents discouraged, Trong threw boiling water onto his parent-in-law and continued asking Ha to have sex with him.

Ha could not do anything, just hugged her baby to cry. Her tears did not touch her husband’s heart. The man even hit Ha’s head with a bamboo stick. Then, he grabbed the 2-week-old daughter from his wife’s hands to hurled the baby against the wall. The child died on the spot.

After killing the baby, Trong wrapped the body with cloth and then wiped the blood marks. He was arrested in the morning when he was burning incense near the newborn baby's body.
