VietNamNet Bridge – Novel Jannusi, who achieved world fame as a writer and producer for the Backstreet Boys, is coming to Vietnam in mid-July to serve as a jury member on Vietnam Idol.

Jannusi, 37, from Sweden, started his career as a drummer and DJ at some of the most well known clubs in Stockholm. At the age of 16, producer RedOne took him in and became his mentor.

Over the years he has worked with many worldwide stars such as the Backstreet Boys, Blue, Kat DeLuna, Space Cowboy, Jason Derulo, and Linda Pritchard.

Novel is most well known for writing the song ‘Straight through my heart’ for the Backstreet Boys in 2009.

***In addition to Jannusi, Mark Walton will also serve on the Vietnam Idol jury.

Mark Walton was born in 1975 in Dublin, Ireland. He became a member of Boyzone band in 1993.

In 2001-2004, he and four friends established the band Fifth Avenue. Their first hit album ‘A Different Life’ was released in 2003.
