VietNamNet Bridge – Breaking into the house of the Director of the Finance Department of Kon Tum Province in Pleiku City, burglars took 63 taels of gold and a lot of valuable assets worth over VND3 billion ($150,000).
After three months of investigation, the police of Pleiku City have arrested four men who involved in the housebreaking. All of them are residents in Pleiku City.
They confessed that on December 31, 2012, they strolled the street to seek an opportunity for housebreaking, in order to earn some money at the year end. When they walked through a house on Cao Ba Quat Road, they detected that the house was locked, meaning that nobody home. They cut the lock and broke into the house. This is the house of Mr. Dang Xuan Tho, Director of the Finance Department of Kon Tum Province.
After searching the house, they discovered a digital locked suitcase under the bed. Breaking the suitcase, the burglars found 63 taels of gold and a lot of gold jewelries.
They also found other assets, including: one bull horn, one electric gun, one laptop and other items. The total asset value is more than VND3 billion.
All assets were allocated to one man in the group to sell.
After the housebreaking, the Inspection Commission of Kon Tum Province has decided to inspect the Finance Department Director’s personal asset declaration.
