Retailers are offering attractive sale promotion programs applied to mobile phones.  iPhone 11, 12 and 13 are the models with the sharpest price decreases. The price discount is up to VND10 million.

iPhone 11 64GB, for instance, has a price discount of 50 percent, falling from VND21.99 million to VND10.99 million, and iPhone 11 128GB from VND23.99 million to VND12.49 million, or 47 percent.

iPhone 12 also has had a sharp decrease. The iPhone 12 64GB price has fallen by 33 percent, from VND23.6 million to VND15.89 million, while iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 is priced at VND28.49 million instead of the old price of VND35.3 million, which means a 19 percent decrease. Meanwhile, the sharp fall of 33 percent is offered for iPhone 12 Mini 128GB, from VND22 million to VND14.7 million. 

The iPhone 13 128GB is priced at VND18.49 million instead of VND24.99 million, down by 26 percent, and iPhone 13 Promax 128GB is at 26.99 million instead of 34.49 million, down by 22 percent. 

The most expensive model, iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB, is now sold at VND29.09 million instead of VND37.99 million.

Some mobile phone stores are also offering extra preferences. People who make payments with VNPAY will receive a 5G simcard and enjoy a 50 percent reduction when buying a phone case.

Nguyen Van Ninh, a salesman at a phone store on Quang Trung street in Ha Dong district, Hanoi, said many iPhone versions now have the lowest price since their launch, and now is the time to buy iPhones at reasonable prices.

He said phone retailers often lower selling prices to clear their stocks and prepare for the launch of the next-generation model, iPhone 14

Other brands such as Samsung, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomoi have also decreased in price. Samsung Galaxy A13 price has dropped from VND5.19 million to VND3.69 million (28 percent), while Samsung Galaxy A23 from VND6.19 million to VND4.79 million and Samsung Galaxy S22 versions have fallen by VND6-7 million.

The price of Oppo CPH 2349 has dropped by 20 percent from VND3.99 million to VND3.19 million, while Oppo CPH 2237-Reno is down 25 percent from VND9.99 million to VND7.49 million.

Analysts say the months from late Q2 to early Q3 are the low sale season of the year, with weak purchasing power. Therefore, sales agents have to adjust selling prices to lure more buyers. 

The new iPhone model is expected to be introduced on September 13.
