In the bronze-medal match at this year’s ASIAD competition, Son watched the game in Indonesia and promised to present the money to both the first and second scorers.

As a result, Quyet scored an equaliser during normal time, and Chinh, Thanh and Duc successfully scored in the penalty shoot-out.

After receiving the money from the singer, the four young players agreed to give the money to Viet Nam’s national women’s team after notifying head coach Park Hang Seo and leaders of the VFF.

Head coach Mai Duc Chung will represent the team to receive the gift. In ASIAD 2018, the team was knocked out in the quarter-final after losing to Chinese Taipei’s women’s team.

“The women in the national team face many disadvantages compared to men when they chose this sport, so the generosity of the Olympic players is highly appreciated, showing the compassion between players both on and off the field,” said Chung.
