The competition which was sponsored by the International Institution of Piano Artistry and co-organised by Wheaton College (USA) and the Milan 'Verdi' Conservatory of Music (Italy) is open to all contestants worldwide to compete in the Rising Star category and the Professional category.
The CIMC preliminary round was virtually held in Vietnam in April 2023, and finalists were selected to compete in the final round in Chicago in July 2023.
Minh Minh was selected among the finalists to fly to Chicago for the competition. She had four training sessions coached by a female professor who helped the artist perfect vocal techniques and pronunciation in Russian and German languages.
“After days of practicing and competing with contestants from all over the world, I feel extremely honoured and happy to win third prize of the competition,” she told media outlets.
Born in 1992, Minh Minh possesses a well-trained soprano voice and vocal techniques. Before winning third prize at the Chicago contest, she had recorded other remarkable achievements, including second prize at the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Singing Festival, and the Solo Gold Prize and Piano Duet at the Asia – Pacific Arts Festival.
