Currently, the country has nearly 4,000 people on the national organ transplant waiting list, said Director of the National Coordinating Center for Human Organ Transplantation Associate Professor Dong Van He.
The rate of organ donation from deceased people in Việt Nam remains modest compared to other countries, leaving demand for organs still far exceeding supply.
