Doan Anh Tuan, Director of the UNESCO Center for Research and Preservation of Vietnamese Antiques, owns a unique collection of ancient ceramic houses in Vietnam. VietNamNet Bridge would like to introduce to our readers to this original collection in the following photos.

There are two kinds of ceramic houses. The first was made by spongy ceramic as items to bury with the death.

The second kind was burned at higher temperature and some were enameled for display for rich families.

The first ceramic houses appeared in the 1st – 3rd centuries.
