VietNamNet Bridge – An unexpected flood that was created after a thunderstorm swept away three children in Nam Tra My district in the central province of Quang Nam on June 1.

The local government confirmed the information on June 3, saying that the bodies were not found yet.

The three victims are sisters Nguyen Thi Hinh, 9 and Nguyen Thi Le, 7, and Nguyen Thi Lai, 7, from the same hamlet in Nam Tra My district.

On the afternoon of June 1, the three kids played on the bank of a stream in front of their houses. They were swept away to Tranh River by a flash flood from the upstream.

Ms. Ho Thi Sec, Hinh and Le’s mother, said that the two families did not see these kids so they search for them. They saw Le’s trousers on a dry twig on the stream bank. They reported the missing case to local government.

The local authorities sent a team to search for the kids but until late afternoon of June 3 they did not find the bodies.
