The caretaker prime minister will also brief the incoming government and general public about current situation of the country.

Issues on economy, national security, ties with neighboring countries, national reconciliation and works awaiting the incoming government would be incorporated in Abhisit's speech, added Satit.

Abhisit's speech will last approximately 10 minutes and will be broadcasted at 8:30 p.m., according to Satit.

The speech would be recorded beforehand and aired via the television pool.

Abhisit government came to power in December 2008 after then ruling People Power Party (PPP) had been dissolved by the order of the Constitution Court due to alleged electoral fraud. The term of his administration should end in December 2011 but Abhisit decided to call for early election on July 3. His party was defeated by main opposition party Pheu Thai, which is the reincarnation of Thaksin-backed PPP and Thai Rak Thai Party. The House voting for the new premier is set on Friday.
