VietNamNet Bridge – Dang Thanh Tam, Chairman of the Saigon Investment Group, the third richest man in the Vietnamese stock market, and over 100 businessmen are candidates of the upcoming National Assembly election.

 

Of 847 candidates of the 13th National Assembly election, over 100 are chairs, general directors and deputy general director of state-owned and private groups and corporation.

 

Among them are: Dinh La Thang, Chair of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Pham Huy Hung, Chair of the Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank, Tran Xuan Hoa, Chair and General Director of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group (Vinacomin) and two general directors of Vinacomin – Nguyen Van Bien and Nguyen Chien Thang, Nguyen Minh Quang, General Director of the Urban Development and Investment Corporation, Than Duc Nam, Chair and General Director of Cienco 5 and Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy General Director of the FPT Soft.

 

Some famous businesswomen are also running for the NA election: Dang Thi Hoang Yen, Chairwoman of the Tan Duc JS Company – Dang Thanh Tam’s elder sister, Nguyen Thi Nguyet Huong, General Director of the Vietnam Investment and Development Group.

 

The election will be held on May 22.
