On June 18, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the high school graduation exam in 2013. Accordingly, this year's graduation rate decreased compared with 2012, with 97.5 percent students of high schools (down 1.4 percent) and 78.08 percent (down 7.39 percent) of the continuation education system passing the exams.

With the rates, the high school system has more than 21,000 student failing exams, out of over 850,000 students, while the continuation education system has over 20,000 out of over 91,000 students that failed.

Provincial Departments of Education and Training have to make the exam results public before June 18. The temporary certificate of high school graduation, school records and other documents must be sent to students by June 24 to enable students to fulfill the procedures for college entrance exams.
