The radiant Miss Cosmo 2025 contestants graced the stage in ao dai designs symbolizing national pride at the second season of the Best of Vietnam fashion show in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of December 11.

The new collection, crafted by designer Trung Dinh after three months of nonstop work, was meticulously handmade. Each piece was inspired by the natural wonders, architectural marvels, and artistic heritage of various countries.

A standout element of the night was the stage itself - an artistic recreation of the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City. This architectural landmark, over 130 years old, known for its French colonial design with arched ceilings, iron frameworks, and signature color palette, was elegantly echoed within the floating setting of the cruise venue.

The show opened with a special performance led by Miss Cosmo 2024 Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari, Runner-up Karnruethai Tassabut, Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau, and Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 Bui Xuan Hanh.

The four queens guided the audience on a journey through four historical phases of Vietnam’s ao dai: from the ancient ao giao linh, ao tu than, and ao ngu than during the Gia Long era, to the modern raglan ao dai of the 1960s - an interplay of tradition and contemporary culture.

During the ao dai showcase, Peru’s representative Kelín Rivera captivated the audience in a vibrant pink ao dai, its flowing panels depicting the iconic Vinicunca rainbow mountain. Her look was completed by a large, colorful non quai thao (flat palm hat), infused with rich Peruvian cultural motifs.

Philippine delegate Chelsea Fernandez brought elegance to the stage with a green-to-golden gradient ao dai, featuring imagery of Manila’s sleek high-rise buildings.

Vietnamese representative Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh took proud strides in an ao dai printed with Ben Nha Rong - a historically significant structure of Ho Chi Minh City that stands as a symbol of national heritage.

For the first time, the Best of Vietnam fashion show announced its Top 5 Best in Ao Dai: Miss Cosmo Peru – Kelín Rivera, Miss Cosmo Bahamas – Beyonce Forbes, Miss Cosmo Philippines – Chelsea Fernandez, Miss Cosmo Ecuador – Alexandra Mina, and Miss Cosmo Vietnam – Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh.

The grand finale of Miss Cosmo 2025 is set to take place on December 20 at the Saigon Innovation Park.
