Around 59% of surveyed employees in Vietnam are eager to explore new career opportunities in the next 12 months. These professionals are strategically prioritizing factors like competitive compensation, improved well-being strategies, and the option for remote or flexible work arrangements.
In line with this positive sentiment, 62% of businesses in Vietnam are planning to implement pay increases, with expected increments ranging from 15% to 25% for job movers.
The recruitment landscape is evolving, with a growing emphasis on candidates possessing strong business partnering skills, valued for their ability to seamlessly integrate technical expertise with strategic insights.
Companies are placing a greater emphasis on their values and commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in their employer branding and hiring processes.
This focus not only enhances corporate reputation but also fosters a positive work culture, engages employees, and attracts talent that aligns with shared values, noted Pham Tuan Phuc, country manager of Robert Walters Vietnam.
In the coming year, several sectors are emerging as high-demand areas in Vietnam, including accounting and finance, engineering and manufacturing, sales and marketing (with a focus on healthcare and the consumer goods sector), and HR due to a shortage of qualified professionals.
