The annual camp, titled Following Uncle Ho's footsteps, has brought participants to various historic and cultural sites in HCM City and the central coastal province of Binh Thuan.

The Viet Nam History Museum, War Remnants Museum and Hung Kings Temple in HCM City, the Champa temple and a fish sauce production area in Binh Thuan Province's Phan Thiet City are among places that the youth have been visiting during the trip.

The camp is a good chance for overseas Vietnamese adolescents to learn more about the country's history and culture as well as network with peers in different countries, said Nguyen Thi Viet Thuy, deputy head of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in HCM City.

It is the sixth consecutive year that the committee, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, has held the event.
