Martin Lo was originally born in Australia but has Vietnamese parentage.

He started his career in the A-League with Western Sydney Wanderers FC before returning to Vietnam with Pho Hien FC after expressing his to desire to represent the national team.

Following a number of strong performances this season he was selected by Korean coach Park Hang Seo to be part of the U23 team.

Due to a clash in his schedule, Park Hang Seo has invited his countryman Kim Han-yoon to coach the U23 squad.

The friendly match, which is scheduled to take place at 20:00 at Phu Tho stadium on June 7, will serve as preparation for both sides in preparation for the Southeast Asian Games which will be held in the Philippines in November. 

The team will meet on June 2 for training.
