Hundreds of people stood on Ton That Tung road to witness police officers dealing with the case, causing traffic jam on the road.
According to witnesses, at around 3.30pm, Nguyen Thanh Sang, 28, a Vietnamese French, stepped up to the second floor of that house and screamed and threatened to suicide. People approached to dissuade him but he did not listen and held a knife to intimidate them.
Mobile and local police were present at the site, with a stair truck. However, they could not quickly approach the man because he always held a knife and threatened to jump down from the height of 12m, if anyone moved close to him.

Hundreds of people watched the case, causing congestion on the street. Many of them used cell phones to film or take photos. The young man kept screaming, sometimes in a foreign language.
At 5.30pm, the man climbed through the banister to the adjacent house. Sometimes he attempted to jump down. After being convinced, he gave the knife to police but did not get down.
One hour later, he lost his footing and fell onto the ground, from the height of 7 meters. However, rescue workers placed a buffer on the ground, so he was only chafed.
The man was taken to the police station for investigation.
