Ahmad Baig sets a new record at the Vietnam Masters with his outstanding performance.

On June 14, 52 golfers who advanced past the cut-off round competed in the final round for the Vietnam Masters 2024. Demonstrating exceptional skill, Ahmad Baig secured the championship with his record-breaking score of -13.

Baig's achievement surpasses the previous record set by Nguyen Anh Minh in 2023, who held the highest total score in Vietnam Masters history with -11. This victory marks Baig's second ADT tournament win in Vietnam, following his success at the Lexus Challenge 2024 last March.

Thai golfer Witchayanon Chothirunrungrueng and Malaysian athlete Shahriffuddin Ariffin tied for second place, both finishing with a total score of -12. Witchayanon had a particularly impressive performance, briefly leading the rankings, but a par at the 18th hole left him just short of tying with Baig.

Young Vietnamese golfer Nguyen Anh Minh won the award for the best amateur athlete, finishing with a score of -8. Anh Minh, the most outstanding Vietnamese competitor in the final three rounds, posted scores of -3, -3, and -2, respectively, placing him 14th overall.

Besides Nguyen Anh Minh, Vietnam had three other representatives who made it to the final round: Le Khanh Hung, Nguyen Nhat Long, and Nguyen Tuan Kiet, along with Park Sang Ho, a foreign member of the VGA Tour.

The Vietnam Masters 2024 marks the first season co-organized by the Vietnam Professional Golf System (VGA Tour) and the Asian Development Professional Golf System (ADT).

The tournament featured 133 athletes, including prominent Vietnamese and international golfers from 25 countries within the ADT system. The event offered a prize fund of up to $85,000, awarded according to ADT bonus policies.
