Over the past half-century, bilateral friendship and multifaceted cooperation have been strengthened through official visits, cooperation agreements and coordination at international forums.
Relations have continued to develop positively in recent years through delegation exchanges, meetings and contacts at various levels, including between senior leaders.
Bilateral trade has maintained steady growth, with both countries exporting a range of goods to each other. Vietnam's exports to Panama and Panama's shipments to Vietnam are largely complementary.
Pham Thu Hang said the two countries are expected to expand cooperation in agriculture, telecommunications, infrastructure, maritime transport, aviation, port logistics, banking, education and training.
