The traditional lanterns, which are considered to be gifts for children on this special day, are also nostalgic for many adults who have childhood memories of getting together with family and friends to celebrate.

The workshop offers a chance to make lanterns by hand. Besides the traditional glass paper lanterns - patterns such as stars, birds, butterflies or rabbits - participants will be guided to create patterns of their own.

The workshop is open to both Vietnamese and foreigners. It will take place September 9 and 11. Anyone interested can register at the Blossom Art House, 94B Tran Hung Dao Street, Ha Noi.
