The medal consists of three materials, including gold, silver, and copper and also features one side showing the Korean head coach and soccer fans cheering him on. 

The back of the medal depicts the famous moment when the Vietnamese men’s national football team scored a goal during the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup final at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi back in 2018.

Park’s famous quote, “Don't bow because you did your best”, has also been inscribed on the medal in both Korean and Vietnamese. 

Previously, 2,828 gold commemorative medals had been printed in the Republic of Korea, while a similar number the medals has been printed in Vietnam this year.

Park has worked as head coach of the Vietnamese men’s national football team since October, 2017.

Under the guideline of the Korean head coach the country’s football has recorded numerous notable achievements, including Vietnam’s U23s becoming the runner-up of the AFC U23 Championship in 2018 and the senior team becoming the champions of the AFF Suzuki Cup later in the same year.

This is in addition the U22 squad winning a gold medal at the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in 2019, and the national team making it into the third Asian qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the first time.
