VietNamNet Bridge – South Korean Chosun Ilbo Daily has reported that the JS Foundation of Korean football star Park Ji-sung, presented over $90,000 to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to train young players.

The JS Foundation was inaugurated on February 7, 2011, and it has been supported by many Korean celebrities, including Choo Shin-soo, the Korean member of the Cleveland Indians baseball club in the US, Jang Mi-ran, the weightlifting champion at the Olympic, movie star Jung Jun-ho and singer Kim Heung-gook.

Vietnam is the first destination of the JS Foundation in its “Asian Dream” project, which aims to bring joy to children through football. In June 2011, Park Ji-sung and his friends, including former Japanese football star Kidetoshi Nakata, North Korean striker Jong Ta-sea and the JYJ band came to Vietnam to play a friendly match with Navibank Saigon and met with child footballers in HCM City.

According to Chosun Ilbo, JS Foundation ought to have presented the donation to the VFF after the friendly game against Navibank Saigon on June 15, but due to some matters of formalities, the donation was transferred to the VFF on August 17.
