Some astronomy clubs organized partial solar eclipse observations for their members this morning.
This picture was taken in Buon Ma Thuot City, in Central Highlands, at 5.06am.
In Vietnam, people could watch the later phase of the eclipse, which ended at around 6am.
This picture was shot in the southern province of Dong Thap.
The eclipse began at 3.56am, Vietnam time. In Hanoi, people could see the phenomenon when
the sun rose at 5.17am until 6.13am.
In HCM City, the observing time was from 5.30am to 6.02am.
Young people were eager with the phenomenon.

Vietnamese can see a solar eclipse again in March 2016.
A partial eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are not exactly in line and the Moon only partially
obscures the Sun. This phenomenon can usually be seen from a large part of the Earth outside
of the track of an annular or total eclipse. However, some eclipses can only be seen as a partial
eclipse, because the umbra passes above the Earth's polar regions and never intersects the Earth's surface.
