However, he said, the report should highlight new points of the elections, in which NA deputies and people's council representatives were elected on the same day, Trong said.
Chairman of the NA Ombudsman Committee Tran The Vuong said the report should clarify the significance of the council's role, the active instruction of the Party, State and NA leaders and the preparations for the elections.
In the meantime, Deputy Head of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee Commission for Organisation Nguyen Van Quynh highlighted the special interest and high responsibility of voters in the elections.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung suggested the report should make an assessment and analysis of democracy, equality and the results of the elections.
According to council secretary general Pham Minh Tuyen, the successful elections took place in the atmosphere of democracy, equality and safety in line with the law.
Almost all cities and provinces nationwide reported a high rate of voters casting their ballots on election day with the northern mountainous provinces of Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh and Lang Son leading the country with 99.99 per cent turnout, Tuyen said.
The report will be submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee next month.
