The Office of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly Office, the Presidential Office and the Government Office convened a meeting in Hanoi on February 2 to launch tasks for 2016.

Speaking at the event, leaders of the offices said the offices had performed well in their assigned task as think-tanks to the Party and State last year.

They also hailed positive changes in the offices’ liaison duties that contributed to the success of the country’s key events, including the all-level Party Congresses and the 12 th National Party Congress.

On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Quoc Vuong conveyed his warmest greetings to attendees on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year festival.

Vuong, who heads the Office of the Party Central Committee, called on the offices to realise a resolution adopted by the 12th National Party Congress, the 2016-2020 socio-economic development blueprint, successfully hold the National Assembly election for the 14th tenure and strengthen the State apparatus.

The offices should keep abreast of domestic and global developments to promptly advise Party and State leaders on issues arising, he said, requesting that they should devise working agendas for the Party Central Committee, Politburo and Secretariat, National Assembly and Government for each year of the entire tenure.

Coordination among the four offices should be stronger and more effective, ensuring the timely and smooth leadership of the Party and State, he added.
