Of these figures, Vietnamese airports served 9.8 million foreign tourists, up 2,041% year on year, and 81 million domestic passengers, up 191.3%.

During the reviewed period, Vietnamese airlines served a total of 45 million passengers, representing an increase of 217.1%. These statistics reveal that the number of foreign tourists hit 4.4 million, seeing a record high increase of 3145.8% compared to the same period last year, whilst the number of domestic tourists stood at 40.5 million, up 188.7% year on year.

The CAAV also reported that Vietnamese airlines carried 259,000 tonnes of cargos, up 2.4%, including 129,000 tonnes of international cargos.

November alone witnessed the number of passengers passing through Vietnamese airports reach 8.67 million, up 7% month on month and marking a rise of 630% year on year. Of this, foreign tourists reached 1.67 million, an annual increase of 2706.2%, while domestic tourists hit seven million, up 508.9%.
