VietNamNet Bridge – Two passenger trains had to stop halfway for nearly three hours because a bomb was detected under the pile of a bridge in Thanh Hoa province.

While building the new pile for a rail bridge cross Do Len River, Thanh Hoa province, workers found a bomb under a pile on April 13.

The made-in-USA bomb is 1.8m long, 250kg, with intact fuse. The bomb was dropped by the American air force during the Vietnam War.

Two North-South passenger trains had to stop for several hours until the bomb was removed and defused.

The bridge was clear after three hours.

In the last couple of days, several bombs have been detected in Vietnam.
