VietNamNet Bridge – Apart from Korean football star Park Ji Sung, many international football stars like Patrice Evra (Manchester United FC), Lee Chung Yong (Bolton) and Nataka (Japan) will play in the friendly game with Vietnam’s Navibank Saigon FC, on June 15 in HCM City.

Park Ji-sung plans to bring football stars to Vietnam

Besides Park Ji Sung, many football stars will come to Vietnam, including fullback Patrice Evra (MU), striker Park Chu Young (Monaco), halfback Lee Chung-Young (Bolton), former Japanese football star Nakata and former captain of the Chinese football squad Li Weifeng.

The upcoming game in HCM City is the first activity of the Park Ji Sung Foundation, established by Korean football star Park Ji Sung, to develop Asian football.

Director of the Thong Nhat Sport Center, Tran Dinh Huan said that Park Ji Sung will arrive in HCM City on June 13, in the evening and stay at Kumho Hotel in Le Duan street, District 1. Other players will come to HCM City in the morning of June 14.

Before the match, Park Ji Sung will visit Thanh Long Sport Center to provide a one-hour lesson in basic football techniques to street and gifted football players at 10am, June 14. He will have a press conference at 2 pm, June 15, at the Thong Nhat Stadium and then join the charity game.

Korean movie star and a Korean boy band will come to Vietnam to advertise for Park Ji Sung’s charity game in HCM City.  

Actress Han Hye Jin, who is very familiar to Vietnamese audiences through “The Legend of Jumong”, will be the “Lady Festival” of the game, while the JYJ band (including Junsu, Jaejoong, Yoochun) will perform during the interval.

Employed by Manchester United since 2005, at the price of GBP4 million, Park Ji Sung has proved his talent and became the first Asian player who was used in a final game of the Champions League. A road in South Korea was named after him.
