VietNamNet Bridge – The Peace Culture street-style festival will take place from December 19 to 21 on Hanoi’s oldest bridge, offering Vietnamese and international arts.

During the festival, Long Bien Bridge will be open for pedestrians only, who will see Paris and Japan-style streets, a photo exhibition on Vietnam history, folk games and traditional cuisines.

They can also participate in many other activities such as a walk for peace, street art performances, the march of costumes of 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam and the world, lantern and bird release festival, and the book fair. The organizers will call on participants to sign the book "A million signatures for peace in Vietnam and the world."

The festival will have the participation of 67 international organizations and embassies in Hanoi.

Ms. Nguyen Nga, chief organizer, said the estimated budget for this event is VND8 billion ($400,000) and it will be raised from donors.

The festival on Long Bien Bridge was held twice in 2009 and 2010 to honor Hanoi’s iconic bridge.
