Coconut tree by Ho Van Hung.

Water color is considered a basic material in fine arts. However, to use it skillfully and make paintings lively, it is not easy, requiring artists’ meticulous and deep passion for the subject matter.

Hung not only shows his talent in luring people into his harmony of color tones but also a skill in presenting the contrast and light in landscapes, allowing visitors to admire real sceneries.

Images of village trails, delta canals, coconut tree lines or buffalo boys are captured at the show of the 31-year-old painter.

Hung was born in 1981 in Nghe An. In 2005, he graduated from Hue University of Arts. In 2006 - 2007 he studied in Japan and Thailand. Returning home, Hung focuses on watercolor and 2D graphics.

He has had many joint and solo exhibitions since 2003.

The exhibition will open until June 28.
