Following the morning session of the conference, Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son and Minister Penny Wong visited the Vietnam National Museum of History in Trang Tien, Hanoi, where they explored key milestones in Vietnamese history.

Located in the heart of the capital, near sacred landmarks such as Turtle Tower - Hoan Kiem Lake, The Huc Bridge - Ngoc Son Temple - But Thap, the museum showcases Vietnam’s history from prehistoric times to the present through a vast collection of valuable documents and artifacts, many of which are designated national treasures.
The museum currently houses and preserves about 200,000 cultural and historical artifacts, including approximately 110,000 items from the prehistoric era to 1945, with some of the rarest collections in the region.
During their visit, Deputy PM Son and Minister Wong explored historical periods ranging from the founding of the Vietnamese nation to the Tran Dynasty. They examined Dong Son culture, highlighted by relics such as the Hoang Ha bronze drum and Dao Thinh jar, as well as Sa Huynh culture, represented by ancient jewelry and ceramics dated 2,000–2,500 years ago, and artifacts from the post-metal age in southern Vietnam.
Minister Penny Wong expressed particular interest in the bas-relief of the Trung Sisters (Hai Ba Trung, 40–42 CE) and a model and painting of the Battle of Bach Dang (938 CE).
