VietNamNet Bridge – There are thousands of comments on the draft documents of the 12th Party Congress from the leaders, former senior leaders of the Party, the State, specialists, managers, intellectuals and the people of all walks of life.

At the seminar on the collection of comments on the draft documents of the 12th Party Congress held by the People's Army Newspaper in collaboration with the Propaganda Department, the General Political Bureau in Hanoi this morning, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Committee Nguyen The Ky released initial information about this issue.

He said that the task had been held carefully and methodically so the organizers could collect many opinions, including 490 opinions from the Party and National Assembly agencies and 65,780 comments from the agencies under the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF).

There are many opinions of leaders, former senior leaders of the Party, the State, specialists, managers, intellectuals and people of all walks of life. Many overseas Vietnamese also contributed their opinions to develop the country and build the Party.

Mr. Nguyen The Ky said the initial assessment showed that many opinions agreed with and appreciated the quality of the draft documents of the 12th Party Congress. The comments confirmed that the political report had been prepared meticulously, seriously and scientifically and the theme of the Congress covered the core issues of the country and the Party.

In particular, there are many comments focusing on economic, educational, scientific and technological, healthcare and defense issues. Also, many opinions expressed the desire that through the 12th Congress, the Party and the State would build a contingent of ‘clean’, exemplary, dedicated officials to take the country forward.

According to the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee, agencies under the Party, the National Assembly, the Central Propaganda and Education Committee, the Office of the Central Party Committee, the Central Public Relations Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front are gathering and filtering opinions to find new points that the draft documents have not mentioned yet.

The Chief Editor of the People's Army Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Huan, said the good results of the collection of comments on the draft documents of the 12th Party Congress had occurred because the draft documents had been made public for the comments of people of all levels of society, not only party members.

Major General Pham Van Huan also said that the important task now is to edit the comments. He hoped that the “gold” and “diamond” opinions of the people would be added to the final documents of the 12th Party Congress.
