VietNamNet Bridge – On August 7, Six Space will host the performance and talk The Other Vietnamese Puppetry, which is part of the project Reimagine The Artist/Artisan operated by a group of artists and art researchers who are passionate about the history, knowledge, and aesthetics of craftsmanship and craft villages in Viet Nam.

The event will feature some puppet extracts presented by artisans from Bao Ha puppet village in Vinh Bao District in Hai Phong City. The extracts include Tu Linh (Four Holy Animals) and Doi Ngoc Luu Ly (A Pair of Lapis Lazuli Gemstone).
After the performance, the artisans will also share stories about the village’s history and its traditional craft. Puppet artist Le Giang will also join the talk.
An exhibition showcasing the materials, tools and process of making wood-carved puppets will also take place at the venue.
The free entry event will take place from 4pm to 5.30pm. Six Space is located on the 6th floor, 94B Tran Hung Dao Street.
