Vietnamese midfielder Hoang Duc

Persepolis Football Club is an Iranian professional football club that is based in Tehran and competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League. Persepolis were founded in 1963 by Ali Abdo and have played in the first division of Iranian football since 1968. According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Persepolis is the most popular football club throughout Asia, having has won a record 15 Iranian league titles, as well as seven Hazfi Cups, five Super Cups, and the Asian Cup Winners' Cup.

Meanwhile, Esteghlal Football Club were founded in 1945 and are one of the oldest football clubs in Iran. They are one of the most supported and successful clubs in the Middle Eastern country, having won two AFC Champions League trophies, nine national titles, and a record seven national cups.

Despite their interest, Hoang Duc has yet to comment on the information. The Vietnamese midfielder revealed that he was keen to play in either the Republic of Korea and Japan.

Transfermarkt also named Vietnamese midfielder Hoang Duc as the most valuable footballer currently playing in the V.League 1. The Viettel FC player was valued by the website at EUR400,000.

Hoang Duc has been in good form over recent years. Most notably, he beat several other potential nominees to win the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards 2021 and helped his side Viettel FC get to second place before the 2020 - 2021 V.League 1 season was canceled. He also played well in the AFC Champions League.
