This is the third time a Philippine naval ship has visited Vietnam to further strengthen the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries’ armies and navies.
During the visit from September 7-10, the Philippine naval delegation will pay courtesy calls to leaders of HCM City People’s Committee and the head of the High Command of the Naval Region 2. They will also engage in sport exchanges with officers and sailors at the Vietnam Navy Technical College, and visit Vietnamese naval ships.
RoK naval ships visit Da Nang city
RoK naval ships begin three-day visit to Da Nang city on September 7.
Destroyer Moon Mu The Great and fast combat support ship ROKS Hwacheon of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Navy docked at Tien Sa port on September 7, beginning their three-day visit to the central coastal city of Da Nang.
The ships, carrying 633 officers and sailors, are led by Rear Admiral Yang Minsoo.
This is the first visit to Vietnam by RoK naval ships in 2019. It takes place at a time when the relations between the two nations as well as their defence ties have been continuously consolidated.
This is also among activities to concretise the agreement between the two states and defence ministries, contributing to deepening the bilateral defence relations.
During their stay, the RoK guests will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee and Naval Region 3 High Command, join cultural performances, and visit local tourist destinations. VNA
