VietNamNet Bridge - While working in the fields on January 19, farmers of Nhan Vu village uncovered an ancient bronze bell 0.6 m in diameter, with many interesting characters and motifs.
According to provincial culture authorities, the bronze may have been cast during the Ly Dynasty (1009-1225) or Tran Dynasty (1225-1400).The bell measures 102 centimetres tall and 60 centimetres in diameter. Its crown is engraved with two bo lao, a mythical beast similar to the dragon.
The body of the bell is also decorated with delicate characters, patterns and other features.
