The Hanoi Parking Company held a ceremony on April 24 to inaugurate an automated multi-storey car park in Tran Nhat Duat Street in Hanoi.
The Japanese-technology car park covers 412 square metres and has a total investment of 30 billion VND (1.4 million USD).
Comprising seven blocks of 4-storey steel frame houses, the car-lot is capable of storing 91 under-7 seat vehicles.
It takes only two minutes to take a car in or out of the garage.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung said the car-lot will help meet the increasing demand for car parking space.
Hanoi will also build more underground and multi-storey car parks to help deal with parking issues in the city, he added.
Currently, the Hanoi Parking Company is accelerating construction of another parking lot on Nguyen Cong Hoan Street, expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.
