VietNamNet Bridge – The fields in Hoc Mon district, HCM City, have become a favorite place for residents to fly kites every weekend.

The vacant land located between Highway 22 and a road in Hoc Mon district is considered the largest kite field in Saigon. With a width of 300 m and 1 km long, the site attracts hundreds of people every afternoon, particularly on the weekend.

At about 4pm on weekends, many people can be seen flying all kinds of kites in the field.

The most prominent kites are giant ones shaped like animals. They belong to the members of the Kite Club of Hoc Mon district.

A club member said the giant kites are priced from several hundred to thousands of US dollars.

It is difficult to fly the giant kites.

Many people take their children to the field site to see the kites.

The large field is also a favorite place for young couples.
