VietNamNet Bridge - Heavy rains on Saturday and Sunday morning submerged a vast area of Uong Bi city of Quang Ninh province. The local government had to break a spillway for drainage.
Heavy rains lasted from Saturday night till morning of Sunday in Uong Bi City, causing serious floods in areas near Sinh River.
The local authorities decided to break the spillway of Sinh River for drainage.
Thanks to this measure, floods gradually receded.
As reported by Uong Bi, nearly 500 households were flooded.
The average depth was 80cm.
