VietNamNet Bridge – Over one month before Lunar New Year (Tet), more than 1,200 farmers in Nhon An commune, Binh Dinh province, are very busy harvesting apricots, with the expectation of earning tens of thousands of USD this Tet.

Apricot trees from An Nhon commune are sold to many provinces to serve the Tet holiday.

Mr. Ho Van Minh said that thanks to good weather, apricot trees have developed well this year, promising a good season.

"My family has 900 ornamental apricot pots and we expect to earn at least VND200 million ($10,000)," Minh said.

He said if the weather stays warm from now to Tet holiday, local farmers will "win big" because apricot trees will blossom at the right time.
