VietNamNet Bridge - The exhibition on Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) is held at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum in Hanoi as part of activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day (October 10).

The exhibition introduces Ao Dai in the two periods: Ao Dai before the August Revolution designed by Thu Ha and Ao Dai in the process of integration and development designed by Lan Huong.

The event runs through October 19.

Here are some photos of Ao Dai on display at the exhibition:

The highlight of the exhibition is the 10m long Ao Dai (middle) and a pair of Ao Dai for men and women with hand-embroidered patterns by Lan Huong. The designer said it took two years to do the embroidery.

"These Ao Dai are very special because they are made from silk woven by late artisan Trieu Van Mao of Van Phuc silk village," Huong said.
