The high-speed boat route linking the island district of Phu Quoc and Nam Du Archipelago of Kien Hai District, Kien Giang Province, officially opened on December 14.

The high-speed boat route is operated by the Superdong – Kien Giang Speedboat Corporation. All cabins are equipped with air-conditioners, comfortable seats, LCD TV’s, toilets and a VIP cabin, with music and a movie system.


Tickets for passengers are priced at VND250,000 each, VND200,000 for children, and VND210,000VND for people with disabilities.

The boat departs from Phu Quoc at 8 am while the returning boat departs from Nam Du at 3:30 pm.

According to Le Minh Tri - Vice Chairman of Kien Hai District People's Committee, putting the Phu Quoc - Nam Du high-speed boat service into operation promises to attract more tourists to the district, especially to Nam Du Archipelago.

In recent years, the number of domestic and foreign tourists travelling to the island district of Kien Hai has continuously increased. In 2019, the island district welcomed more than 375,000 visitors, up nearly 58% over the same period last year.

The Vice Chairman of Kien Hai District People's Committee said that in the coming time, Kien Hai District will continue to invest in upgrading infrastructure, creating a premise to attract investors to participate in large projects and high-quality resorts, thus contributing to raising tourism into a key economic industry and creating a breakthrough and positive changes for Kien Hai in becoming a multi-connected tourist destination.
