VietNamNet Bridge – Swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc brought home a gold medal in the men's 100m freestyle at the ongoing Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Incheon, the Republic of Korea, on July 3.

He finished first with a time of 48.98 seconds.
During the previous days of competition, Phuoc grabbed one silver in the 200m freestyle and one bronze in the 100m butterfly discipline.
Two female swimmers, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien and Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, failed to win any medal but they both set new national records in the women’s 100m mixed.
In the men’s 100m mixed, young swimmer Tran Duy Khoi also set a new national record despite coming fifth in the finals.
In the billiards, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen and Ma Xuan Cuong have reached the semi-finals in the men’s 3 cushion single.
The Vietnamese chess players were not successful at the competition. Le Quang Liem came only at the 11th position in the men's chess while the country’s top female player Pham Le Thao Nguyen dropped to the 15th place.
