Inspired by everything Japanese, she chose Japan’s red and white as theme colours for the collection. Always known as a member of the avant-guarde in implementing updated print technology in designing her fabric, Phuong My imported her material, as well as the authentic accessories for the collection.

The colour palate runs from spring pastel colours of to heated summer tones. Her designs aimed to impress and built on the loyal clientele who wore her designs prior to this show.

Clean cut and perfectly poised, Phuong My’s collection had a mature feel. A young designer in her late 20s, Phuong My has established her own brand and reputation as a young talented designer not only in Viet Nam, but also abroad in Europe, the US and in the Middle East.

Graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she has participated in New York Fashion Week in 2011, Elle Vietnam Fashion Show in the magazine’s one-year anniversary and Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam Charity Auction Show 2012.

The Vietnam International Fashion Week closed on Sunday.
